Notice: Lab Idletime

19 04 2010

Всем Привет, Прошу прощения за времянную задержку поступления видео на наш сайт. Для более удобного общения мы пробуем поставить русский язык на наш американский сайт. В любом случае, мы ждем вас на нашем форуме.
ну все, пока-пока
ромко.

RomanIvanov doesn’t have access to a computer at the moment and because of that the Lab will be idle for the most part. New content will still be posted, just likely at a slower rate. The Lab may also not function perfectly as I will be taking this time to work on manually translating the entire Lab and set up a way to have all future posts capable of being manually translated as well. Users will be able to choose between English and Russian as their default language for the Lab and they will view all text in the language of their choice automatically. Forum posts will not be translated automatically.

Speaking of the Forum some of you may have noticed that some categories have a negative post count. This is due to an overwhelming amount of spam posts appearing and being deleted automatically thus bringing the overall topic count down one. I’ll probably remove topic count from the Forum theme while the Lab is idle.

GCC2 Forum Open

23 03 2010

The GCC2 Forum has recently launched as you might have noticed. Some slight modifications (such as user avatar and signatures) will be added but it will be kept simple. Most site content will still remain in the Lab and the P.F.D. but the Forum is a place for discussion other than entry-comments or the shoutbox. You can find a link to the Forum on the Network Navigation bar as well as links to the most recently active forum threads in the Lab sidebar. You do not need to register separately as the Forum runs on the same member system as the Lab does (and shares cookies). Please post any comments or suggestions in the Suggestions category of the Forum.

Lab Updates & SITE TRANSLATION

28 02 2010

Surpassing the 100-post mark I thought I’d share a changelog for the site. The most important update is the site translator. I previously had an AJAX translator setup which translated content per-post, page or comment. This was temporary and the new translator (which you can access on the top of the sidebar) translates the entire site. It uses cookies to keep track of your native language so it can update pages you view as you view them. To stop the site from automatically translating every page as it loads it simply delete all cookies from lab.gcc2.net.

There are various other things I’ve changed. The entire changelog: Read the rest of this entry »

Notice: Lab Downtime

21 02 2010

I apologize for the inconvenience anyone experienced today or for any issues which come up in the near future. A forum will be added to the network and in the process of integrating the Lab content with the forum, an issue came up which stopped the site from functioning properly.

I’m still working on adding a forum but am doing my best to keep the process from affecting the networks usual activity.
